Hansenard Piou
Hansenard “Hansy” Piou is an Associate at Hintze Law PLLC. Hansy has experience with global data protection issues, including kids’ global privacy laws, AADC, privacy impact assessments, GDPR, and privacy statements.
Hansy was a Summer Associate with Hintze Law in 2023 where he gained hands-on experience on a wide range of privacy and cybersecurity issues.
In 2022, he worked as a Law Clerk at the Electronic Privacy Information Center, where he developed valuable skills in the areas of privacy law, including assisting in legislation and litigation efforts for privacy rights, researching existing case laws, and developing litigation strategy in key cases with significant impact on critical Internet issues.
As a student at Harvard Law School, Hansy was a staff writer for The Harvard Crimson Editorial Board, Harvard Political Union, Black Men's Forum, and On Harvard Time, before becoming editor for the HLS Journal of Law and Technology. He was also an active member of the Black Law Students Association and the Caribbean Law Students Association.
Prior to law school, he graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Government before working as a software engineer for Capital One.
