Hintze Law Opens London Office

Hintze Law is pleased to announce the opening of its London office--Hintze UK Ltd.

Hintze UK Ltd. serves as a bridge between Hintze Law and its growing number of clients based in, or with offices in, the UK, Europe, and beyond. Our new location in London, one of the world's leading centers for business, technology, and finance, better enables Hintze to provide the practical and actionable advice on U.S. data governance laws that Hintze Law is renowned for, from within a European time zone more convenient for our international clients.

The London office is led by Sam Castic, a US-law-licensed Partner at Hintze Law with nearly two decades of experience advising organizations on AI, privacy, and cybersecurity law. Before joining the firm, Sam served as Chief Privacy Officer at Blackhawk Network, a global fintech company with B2B and B2C products. Sam also led a team of privacy professionals as Head of Privacy at Nordstrom, a leading high-end U.S. fashion retailer. Sam leverages this experience to provide clients with actionable advice on US AI, privacy, and cybersecurity law. He also helps companies build, scale, and right-size data governance programs.  Sam chairs Hintze Law’s Retail Group, and co-chairs the Cybersecurity & Breach Response and FinTech & Financial Services Groups. He is a recognized U.S. privacy and data security lawyer by Chambers & Partners in both its USA and Global Guides, and is a Certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP).

The opening of the London office marks the latest chapter in the firm's continued growth under the co-management of Jennifer Ruehr and Susan Hintze. Founded in 2014 by Susan Hintze and later joined by Mike Hintze, Hintze Law was established to integrate regulatory insight, business strategy, and deep technical fluency to help global brands and high-growth innovators manage risk, seize opportunities, and navigate changing laws with confidence. Over the past decade, the firm has grown from a solo privacy practice into an internationally recognized law firm focused exclusively on the complexities of artificial intelligence, privacy, and cybersecurity. Today, its professionals, comprised of former in-house lawyers and expert technologists, are located throughout the U.S. and in the U.K., serving clients throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and around the world.

The firm advises organizations ranging from emerging companies to Fortune 500 businesses across technology, financial services, healthcare, automotive, gaming, media, advertising, retail, and other highly regulated industries. Known for combining deep subject-matter knowledge with practical business advice, Hintze Law works closely with clients to address some of the most significant legal and policy developments affecting technology, data, and innovation today.

Hintze Law and its attorneys have earned accolades from Chambers Global, Chambers USA, Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and Global Data Review's GDR 100, and others that recognize the world's leading data law firms. The firm is also a minority-owned, woman-owned, LGBTBE-owned, and NAMWOLF-certified law firm.

As organizations continue to navigate increasingly complex legal and regulatory obligations across jurisdictions, Hintze UK Ltd. reflects the firm's longstanding commitment to serving clients whose operations, technologies, and compliance challenges span international borders.
