Chehalis Dorman
Chehalis Dorman is an Associate at Hintze Law PLLC, representing start-ups to Fortune 100 companies exclusively on AI, privacy, and security issues. Chehalis has led, trained, and managed teams conducting global privacy impact assessments, provided product reviews for privacy by design and compliance, and provided analyzed national and international data protection standards and terms.
Chehalis provides guidance on global data protection issues including data breach notification laws and privacy policy development. Her experience also includes regulatory responses in FTC Section 5 and Section 6(b) investigations and California State Attorney General investigations. Other areas of expertise include GDPR, MHMDA, Nevada’s SB370, CFAA, SMS, TCPA, state telemarketing laws, mobile apps, and privacy statements.
In the past year, Chehalis was seconded to a top social media company as part of an AR/VR product team. During her secondment, she provided guidance regarding MHMDA, Nevada’s Consumer Health Law (SB370), US state Omnibus laws, Health Breach Notification Rule, HIPAA, BIPA, and CUBI.
Prior to Hintze Law, Chehalis worked for the Tulalip Tribes as a Summer Law Clerk and with the Snoqualmie Tribe where she worked as an Interim Education Director aligning departmental practices with tribal policies.
At the University of Washington School of Law, Chehalis provided leadership and direction as President of the University of Washington Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) and participated in the International Human Rights Clinic.
