Congrats to Alex Schlight for Promotion to Partner

Seattle, January 16, 2024: Hintze Law, PLLC announced today that, effective January 2024, Alex Schlight has been promoted to partner.

Alex has spent the last 7+ years focusing on complex issues at the intersection of emerging technology and data protection. She counsels U.S. and global clients on AI and privacy compliance and risk management strategies. Her clients range from start-up to Fortune 100 companies, including SAAS, social media, ecommerce, travel, advertising, AR/VR, life sciences, data analytics, and authentication companies.

Her work includes advising on a wide range of complex AI and data protection issues, including developing strategy and drafting responses in connection with regulatory inquiries from multiple jurisdictions, developing privacy & AI policies, drafting and negotiating data protection agreements, performing privacy by design reviews, guiding due diligence and integration for acquisitions involving highly sensitive and regulated data, developing and refining privacy compliance programs, and developing compliance and risk mitigation strategies related to data subject requests. Her privacy experience also includes working in-house through secondments with Fortune 100 tech and social media companies.

Alex graduated from Duke University School of Law (J.D.) and Washington State University, Summa Cum Laude (B.A. Pre-Law Philosophy and Debate; B.A. Political Science; B.A. Criminal Justice). She is licensed to practice in Washington State.

Alex is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and has earned CIPM and CIPP-E privacy certifications.*   In 2019, she was recognized as the Young Privacy Leader for the Seattle chapter of the IAPP.
