Alex Schlight Joins Hintze Law Team as Privacy Associate

We are excited to announce that Alex Schlight has joined the Hintze Law team. Alex joins as a lateral associate from a boutique technology counseling firm where she served as privacy lead.

Alex counsels US and international clients on data privacy compliance and risk management strategies. Her work includes developing privacy policies, drafting and negotiating data protection agreements, performing privacy by design reviews, developing privacy programs, conducting assessments to support records of processing activities and risk analysis and mitigation, and processing data subject requests. Her privacy experience also includes working in-house through secondments and internships with Microsoft, Concur, and Docusign. Her clients include start-ups, mid-size, to Fortune 500 companies to emerging tech clients, including SAAS, ecommerce, travel, advertising, AR/VR, life sciences, data analytics, and authentication and authorization companies.

Alex graduated from Duke University School of Law (J.D.) and Washington State University, Summa Cum Laude (B.A. Pre-Law Philosophy and Debate; B.A. Political Science; B.A. Criminal Justice). She was a visiting scholar at the University of Washington School of Law her last year of law school and is licensed to practice in Washington State.

Alex is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and has earned CIPM and CIPP-E privacy certifications   She was the 2019 Young Privacy Leader for the Seattle chapter of the IAPP.
