We are searching for a privacy geek in the Seattle area to join our unique, collegial, high-caliber, privacy and data security team. Our ideal future team member will be a non-lawyer professional with 2-4 years of experience with global privacy and data security. Experience as a paralegal or in other areas of compliance or risk management will also be considered. A high level of comfort and interest in technology is essential. Must be CIPP certified. Experience with litigation or regulatory enforcement is a bonus.
In this role you will assist our team and our clients with privacy and data security compliance obligations, including work related to developing privacy programs and documentation, conducting data protection impact assessments, responding to data subject requests, preparing records of processing activities, handling data security incident and breach response, researching competitive and best practice benchmarking, supporting response to regulatory requests for production and information, managing various projects, tracking systems, databases, and compliance tools.
A successful candidate will be smart, disciplined, detail-oriented, yet creative and resourceful, and will have a strong interest in privacy and data security, natural curiosity about technology, good sense of humor, collaborative workstyle and people skills, excellent organization and project management skills, and willingness to work under tight timelines including occasional weekends and evenings, and with international time zones including frequent early mornings.
Proficiency with Word, Excel, Google Docs & Sheets is required. Experience with OneTrust, Wirewheel, and similar privacy management tools is desired.
