Hintze Law PLLC announced today that Kate Black has joined the firm as a partner in its Health and Biotech Privacy Group. Kate, who was former Global Privacy Officer for 23andMe and one of Law360’s Rising Stars in the area of privacy and cybersecurity, will also head Hintze Law’s new Miami office.

Kate joins Hintze Law from Greenberg Traurig, where she was a partner in their Miami office. Previously, Kate led 23andMe’s data protection program as it first Global Privacy Officer and served in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
