Hintze Law PLLC is excited to announce that Clara De Abreu E Souza has joined the firm as a first-year Associate in the Seattle office.
Clara joins us following her tenure as a Summer Associate at Hintze Law, where she provided in-depth analysis of state and federal privacy legislation, tracked developments in AI accountability, and co-authored regulatory insights for our clients. Her work demonstrated both a mastery of complex legal frameworks and a forward-thinking approach to the challenges of emerging technologies.
Prior to her time at Hintze Law, Clara gained substantial experience at Terrell Marshall Law Group, contributing to complex class action litigation and deepening her understanding of sophisticated legal strategy and advocacy.
Clara earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law, where she held multiple leadership positions and was selected as the student commencement speaker. Her academic portfolio includes advanced coursework in cybersecurity, privacy, and artificial intelligence regulation, as well as participation in the Ethical Legal Tech Innovation Practicum. Notably, she contributed to an American Medical Association resolution on the use of AI in clinical decision-making, reflecting her commitment to ethical innovation in healthcare technology. Furthermore, because of her work at the intersection of AI and health law, she was recently invited by the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) to present on the current state regulatory landscape surrounding AI and healthcare at the WSMA’s 2025 annual conference.
Clara holds a B.A. in Psychology, with highest honors, from the University of Texas at Austin and was selected for the prestigious JET Program in Tokyo, where she taught English to high school students.
