Felicity Slater Joins Hintze Law as an Associate

Hintze Law PLLC is thrilled to announce that Felicity Slater has joined the firm as part of our growing team of talented AI, privacy, and cybersecurity attorneys. Felicity brings deep experience and knowledge of privacy law, legislation, and policy to the firm.

Prior to joining Hintze Law, Felicity worked as Policy Fellow at the Future of Privacy Forum, where she performed research and analysis of consumer privacy laws, bills, and regulatory activity on the FPF’s U.S. Legislation team and the Health and Wellness team.   

An accomplished writer, Felicity has been published in a wide range of law reviews and other publications, and was a frequent contributor to the FPF blog. Felicity is also a frequent speaker having presented at the Practising Law Institute, the Privacy + Security Academy, and NYU Law among others. Her expertise been sought out by a range of journalists, bloggers, and podcasters, with quotes from Felicity appearing in a range of publication. 

While at Boston University School of Law, Felicity served on the editorial and executive boards of the Boston University School of Law Journal of Science and Technology Law, as a Consumer Debt Practicum student attorney, and as a Matthew Z. Gomes Fellow at the BU/MIT Technology Law Clinic. She also worked as a research assistant for Professors Danielle Citron (privacy), Rory Van Loo (consumer protection), and Stacey Dogan (trademark and trade secrets). Felicity also earned numerous honors including the Melville M. Bigelow Scholarship Graduation Award (awarded by the faculty for legal scholarship). 

Prior to law school, Felicity earned her Master of Philosophy (The City University of New York) and BA (Grinnell College) and worked for several arts and environment-focused non-profits. 

Felicity is passionate about composting, support for the arts, and, of course, privacy. In her spare time, she loves to read, hike, swim, and is excited about exploring all the beautiful nature in Washington State.
