Hintze Law PLLC is excited to announce that Hansenard “Hansy” Piou has joined the firm as a first-year associate* in the Seattle office.
A member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), Hansy first joined the firm as a summer associate in 2023, during which time he gained experience in global data protection issues, including kids’ global privacy laws, AADC, privacy impact assessments, GDPR, and privacy statements.
Hansy joins Hintze Law from Harvard University School of Law in Cambridge, MA., where he was a staff writer for The Harvard Crimson Editorial Board, Black Men's Forum, and On Harvard Time, before becoming editor for the HLS Journal of Law and Technology. He was also an active member of the Black Law Students Association and the Caribbean Law Students Association.
In 2022, he worked as a Law Clerk at the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), where he developed valuable skills in the areas of privacy law, including assisting in legislation and litigation efforts for privacy rights, researching existing case laws, and developing litigation strategy in key cases with significant impact on critical Internet issues.
Prior to law school, Hansy graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics and worked as a software engineer for Capitol One.
