Hintze Law PLLC is thrilled to announce Jennifer Ruehr’s promotion from Partner to Co-Managing Partner, joining forces with Susan Hintze to lead our firm into an exciting future. Together, they will oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm and provide strategic management oversight and leadership to drive our continued success.
Jennifer has been a vital part of Hintze Law since 2018, bringing nearly two decades of in-house experience and business leadership to the table. Jennifer has held numerous leadership positions within the firm, including serving as co-chair of Hintze Law’s Workplace Privacy, Cybersecurity and Breach Response, and the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning groups.

In addition to her expanded management role, Jennifer will continue to service clients on substantive legal issues, offering business-focused and actionable counseling on privacy and security program development, AI governance and risk management, online tracking strategy, M&A deals privacy and cybersecurity due diligence, and complex data agreement negotiation. She has advised a diverse array of clients from top-tier technology, automotive, airline, media, manufacturing, telecommunication, publishing, and retail companies, as well as many innovative start-ups. Jennifer also provides strategic counsel on developing cybersecurity programs and provides advanced coaching of incident response activities.
Jennifer has special expertise in workplace privacy including developing internal privacy policies and workforce notices, retention and deletion programs, and workplace privacy assessments. She advises on privacy issues and risks related to collecting and using workforce biometric, health, and location data, privacy requirements when conducting background checks, employee profiling, and workplace investigations as well as privacy issues and risk related to AI governance, and automated decision-making in the workplace.
Prior to joining Hintze, Jennifer served as Legal Counsel, Privacy and Security, for Adobe Systems Incorporated where she counseled on global data protection compliance and strategy and supported and advised Adobe’s employment teams on workplace privacy compliance, as well as Adobe’s procurement and legal teams on vendor risk management, and products and services teams on data and licensing compliance and strategy during product development and incident response.
Jennifer is a 2017 Fellow with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and has earned the CIPP/US certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
